Northern Ontario Food Stories

Northern Ontario Food Stories is a video series highlighting food culture in Northern Ontario.

Why food?

My love for food runs deep. It all started when I left home for university and fell for Guy Fieri. Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives opened my eyes to the world of cooking. This truly kickstarted my fascination with cooking and food.

Throughout my mid 20s, I was the staff photographer, videographer and art buyer for Canada’s second largest, but now defunct Flavours Magazine. I got to travel the country to photograph, film, and learn from some of the best chefs and mixologists in Canada.

When I moved back to Sudbury in 2017, I recognized the passion for food living in Northern Ontario. There’s a flourishing food culture with deep, storied roots and my intention for this series is to bring these stories to light.
